Pretty solid thanks, at least 3 enquiries a day. Few disappear but at least a few weeks ahead with deposits taken. This month I was moving. So I stopped doing conversions around 22nd of last month and re opened 7th. But ive done a couple in the new premises now. Had a few days off this week to install a new wood burner in the house. Which has included knocking the chimney breast out because it's much bigger than the last one, putting a lintel in higher up and re plumbing the central heating system. I was supposed to do it in the summer. But I've been busy. ....
What's your marketing strategy though ?

Well I advertising on local newspaper. . Internet..
shame that lpg are expensive here in bp petrol station 80 per liter..
I repair cars..diagnostics..lpg conversions.
. half year ago start doing car remapping ..
thats was good move...I would say easy and fast money..
Most cars coming not for remapping but for dpf filter removal using remapping machine...im the best peugeot and mazdas friend :D ..these cars suffer from blocked dpf..
Employing one guy who repair cars mainly all lpg conversion doing by myself. ..

Personally I've never had much joy from newspaper advertising. Things like free index are good because they filter through the net like a bad case of the runs.
eBay is pretty good too. People never buy from there but they do ring you and it keeps web traffic to your site up. At £1.20 a month it's pretty good value as well.

Think you might be right, being in an aera where it's more expencive makes it less attractive.

There's one on my site at 74p in Bideford.

You have the landline number, a must for me,
That's me out of the picture then. I've had the same mobile for the past 12 years. Its on an all you can eat data package. So I don't much see the point in having a landline at work that will cost me £12 a month for line rental. And when I'm under the car, I've generally got my phone in my pocket, so I don't have to drop what I'm doing to answer it.

Modern marketing is different and evolving all the time. Seems to me the older generation will look at a website, everyone else will find you on Facebook. And gumtree seem to have achieved something that ebay never really managed (even though they are owned by ebay) and that's to get the regional advertising right.

Years ago we did a radio ad. Drive time in the mornings and evenings.
Cost 3 grand....
The only job we got from it was from a recycling bus that goes round the local schools teaching kids about recycling, chap wanted us to remove the old Diesel engine, replace it with a petrol and gas convert it. Found an engine for £500.. Quoted him £3500 with the gas conversion.
Did the job, got the money. Got no other jobs from the radio ad.....
But at least it didn't cost anything, But a load of time outside in the rain, and snow as I recall....

Always handy to know eh
Think you can waste an awful lot of good money on badly targeted advertising. It's always hard to know what to do for the best.
Probably get your own gas tank, and sell it cheaper than down the road.

I've only ever had a countrywide bunker. The deal with them was lay the concrete pad, provide electric and internet connection and they do the rest. And pay you a small ammount per litre on every litre used from your tank, but you can still sell it on your key.
Don't know if they go down that far though. There is one Taunton way because I use it quite regular.
I think companies like flogas do similar deals. Best to ring about really and see what the best deal is.

I drove through Bedford the other day and saw an Autogas sign outside a house on Goldington Road. Big, nice looking house and a sign advertising LPG conversions. Pump was in the back garden at the side of the house. Never seen it before and wondered if it was anyone that comes on here. Getting people to come in and fill up may only appeal to those that already have a converted car but if you get a lot of passing traffic it may prompt more people to consider a conversion.

No idea who it is, I was sitting at the lights and read his sign but no trading name or website on it. I was going to add it to your site but as I wasn't 100% sure of the address.
