Sorry to say I'm not. But I get a lot of customers from London come for conversions. Least one a month. Which says a lot for the state of the industry in our capital.

Worth doing :)

Although the one I've bought is more or less the same as my old one its rated 280hp and my car is 200hp I'm assuming there is some faffing to do to get to work correctly

Depends on pressure, injector nozzle sizing and fuel trims. Bit of a balancing act between these factors. So best left to someone who knows really mate. Be quicker to pay a pro an hours labour, or spend a week flailing about in the dark with a laptop, live data stream out the petrol ecu and a quizzical look on your face.

demonicwillow wrote:Thats a drain for heavy ends, ideally run the engine so the vap gets hot but not so hot you cant touch it, then remove the plug and if any gloop is in there it should run out quite easily, however, looking at the state of that vap its possible that its leaking coolant as well, possibly a diaphragm is split and lpg is getting into the coolant, be worth removing the cooling system cap and checking with the engine running on lpg if there are constant bubbles coming out, which could be an indication of your smelly gas symptom.

No its not a drain at all. It is the seat for the primary stage pressure reduction shut off. If you removed it chances are you would tear the shut off seal and end up over pressure. This is the same for the R90 also.

It could not be a drain anyway as it is half way up the vapouriser

It was said it was right at the bottom of the vaporiser so presumed it was a drain point so sorry if I have mislead the owner

If its the same/similar to the r90 then is it possible the vaporiser is at the wrong orientation or would this be in the correct place, the r90 one is on the side not right at the bottom

While it's important with the vaporiser on a mixer system, it doesn't matter how you mount an injection system vap. The mount it wherever and however it will fit.......

Please dont take offence. I know you are a highly competent engineer. But you have a big gap in your LPG knowledge as you have only really got as far as a closed loop single point. Which is at least a decade and some behind where we are at now. Time to dust off the gas injection kit in your shed. And fit it on your jeep mate. The post I made the other day about the Cherokee that intermittently switched the LPG system off and popped the air box. Wouldn't happen on a single point unit because you don't take the system switched pos. An emulator only takes out the neg side. The blue wire would still hold the relay on. As long as the switched was still live it would carry on running. That's why I fed back the info. And obviously the fact that the gas system was instantly to blame. And it was something I had not seen before.

Oh no offence taken Tubbs not one bit, im a big believer in if I make a comment or mistake openly then ill apologies for it openly, as you say there is a big gap which is why I dont comment on things like mapping and injector nozzle sizes, calibration etc, still have to get around to that, I thought to myself this morning shut up Tim when I was told that the injection vap could be mounted however way, as it was the vaporiser I thought a comment wouldnt hurt but made myself look a dick  but now I know so thats something I learnt today (and not that im a dick  )

Im quite happily outside concocting some form of engine crane to fit on the front bumper hitch so I can move an engine which is in the way of my new shed construction, once thats built then the Jeep lpg injection install can happen and you will all be inundated with silly questions

No problem. I'm sure we will all happily help. I'm glad you didn't take offence. I nearly deleted the post twice because I didn't want to upset you.

bit of a update. Finally got the new vapouriser fitted yesterday at Medway Dual Fuel. Good bunch of guys - took them 2 plus hours in the pi$$ing rain as it wasnt a straight fit at all and only charged me what they quoted on the fone :) (reducers, pipe cutting etc etc) No gas smell and running sweet

cheers for everyones help
