Not only did they guide me though the process but diagnosed that the reducer temperature sensor was faulty and are sending me a new one. Having had and installed previous LPG sequential systems (but not on this car though) these guys knowledge far exceeded mine by a zillion! Also, the quality of the install in terms of wiring and positioning of components was a seriously professional job and if anyone wants a recommendation for an install or just advice then I highly recommend them!

Quality LPG installer - Pioneer Gas
Just a quick note to highly praise both the engineers at Pioneer Gas (especially Dave) for helping me over the phone to reconfigure my LPG software after defaulting it (I was looking for the warm switching override button ‘in Italian’ and pressed the default button by mistake!).

Long way for you to have travelled to have your system looked at.
What were the problems that they sorted for you and how did they manage to get it right without the temp sensor.

The way I read it they did the diagnosis over the phone, and sent out the sensor...

Re: Quality LPG installer - Pioneer Gas
I have go to calibrate the system when I get the new temp sensor again - I'm running probably slightly 'richer' than I should be on lpg for now but before hand i'd lost the use of my tank gauge and could not configure a dam think until I phoned Dave. Dave managed to explain a number of variables that were different to my last sequential kit I installed (an Autogas Italia 'Easyjet' system) but part two of the tuning (when I get the temp sensor) will be similar to the Easyjet system. At least I know if it all goes to pot again I can ring Dave - this will cost me an arm and a leg in his favorite drink though - Bourbon whiskey !!!! One bottle dispatched already!

Re: Quality LPG installer - Pioneer Gas
Part two to my previous post - The temperature sensor arrived in post last week for the reducer, I fitted this Sunday and recalibrated the LPG ECU back to normal (ie what I mean here is before I mucked it up!!) Dave from Pioneer Gas rang yesterday and explained other possibilities I could expect post calibration if the system is running to rich/lean but so far so good. Again, the super chap has said if anything does go wrong I can give him a call ( ie if the management light comes on!).
Superb overall service - I cannot highly recommended Pioneer Gas for helping out here! High 5 Dave!

Re: Quality LPG installer - Pioneer Gas
Is this Pioneer in Rochdale? If so they fitted my system on my Focus ST170 and i am very happy with it. I need to speak to them though reference where they put the wirng as my traction control won't work fully and everything normal to check is perfect, checked by a ford tech.
I need to book in for a service so i will talk to them then.

My posting has been written by me only my friend - not associated with pioneer whatsoever
! But whatever - nothing but very lovely chaps at Pioneer, especially Dave - really helped me out for free! They have done thousands of cars - I'm sure in terms of experience they know their stuff - what's the problem with your car ? Hope you sought it out with them!

By the fact there is legal action would suggest that it has gone past being sorted by Pioneer.
Dave is a registered member here so I'm sure he will pop along and explain all.

Did you see the reply from Pioneer ? If so I take it you have contacted them by now to discuss you issues.joseywales wrote:We will wait in anticipation for a reply.....
Following a complaint your original post will be removed. Looking at previous comments with regards to this Company your one does seem rather out of character.
Re: Quality LPG installer - Pioneer Gas
I had the pleasure of dealing with Pioneer gas myself today and I can only support the positive comments. I'm not sure Dave would be quite so positive about me as he was pulling his hair out with an issue that appears to have been down to my interpretation of a wiring loom - Sorry Dave, still can't understand how it happened. I'm hoping to collect my car tommorow, and based upon the positive response I got today I am feeling confident that it'll be running very sweetly (despite my best efforts). The other two chaps there were equally nice and actually made me feel better about the situation by saying "its an easy mistake", and other such comments they possibly didn't mean (but it made me feel better about the mistake).
A courtesy car was freely offered, and Dave had loads of advice about alternative injectors etc, as a result I did end up spending more than I originally planned, but that was my choice based on good advice, there was no hard sell and I've come away today knowing how much I will be paying tommorow.
I have no connection to the company, but so far I can only praise them.
