how does everybody do the classic/2nd car insurance thing?
morning all.
I've got a little clio 172 and about to collect a w123 230e saloon. Aiming at 4000 miles in each per year. What/how best to insure them for the daily commute/weekend thing?
many thanks.

Re: 2 car-insurance..
i got quotes for both my cars, it was cheaper to get 2 separate policies rather than have the 2 cars on 1.

You may be able to get the Merc on a limited mileage, Classic car policy which will be cheap. Try Footman-James or Adrian Flux as they seem to specialise in Classic policies. I used to have all sorts of grief with swapping cars around, adding temporary additional ones, etc and ended up getting a trade policy that covers me for any number of vehicles, either owned by me or in my custody for motor trade purposes. If nothing else it means I've got fully comp insurance when I take my daughters car for MoT for instance.
