Recommendations?

Hi folks,

So after a bit of a faff with my own motor (which is nearly right now - thanks to Mr Gilbert!) - her Royal Wifeness has taken note and is contemplating having hers converted, on the premise that it's very low mileage (66k on a 2001 car) she really likes it still and we know it inside out so there's no surprises in store.

The question is; would anyone have any recommendations for an installer within a reasonable distance of Derby?

I know it's very easy not to pay enough and regret it later. It's also very hard to know what you're getting till it's too late (have you seen under my bonnet??!!) but at the same time, £1380.00 to fit what Tinley are selling for around £600 seems a bit strong when people are advertising fitted kits for £900.

Yes, I know that's an extreme example and yes, they probably wear masks and yes, they'll probably have gone next week when the tank falls out but I'm looking for some idea of what we need to pay for a proper job.

Anyone have any relevant experience around here?

What car does SWMBO want converting ?

It's a Chrysler PT Cruiser, 2 litre auto.

I've got a price from Auto Tech in Ripley and I'm waiting to hear from LPG Conversions in Heanor.

The only pain with the PT is lack of space for a tank without filling the boot. Have you tried LPGC who is on here as he would be in your area.
