Hi Guys
Can anyone give me some advice? I am trying to connect to my BRC just system with my computer to set it up.
I have a cable similar to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROFESSIONAL- ... 4170cec5f1 but with the connector advertised as fitting a JUST.
I have some BRC software, but whatever I do I end up with an error saying "error in serial door configuration" or it simply saying it cannot connect to the ECU.
Any thoughts??

Some Justs have an external diag connector. Some don't - only an internal one. What are you connecting to?
You will need the correct Just software - something else from BRC won't do, not even if its called Just Heavy (that's a different product)
I've never used a USB lead for these, but you'd have to jigger with COM ports in Windows I'm sure.

I have 2 different ECUs in my posession with 2 different plugs.
The one I am using has a black plastic socket, with ovalled ends. I can't remember if it has 3 or 4 pins in it (I think its 3). The socket is about 30mm x 12mm.
(The other one has a white 3 pin socket with much smaller pins and is about 10mm x 4mm)
My adjusting the COM ports I can get rid of the "error in serial door" message, but I cannot get any further - it just won't connect. (After installing drivers for the lead)
I have tried several different versions/issues of what I believe to be "just" software (called interfacciajust - spelling is probably wrong).
Does anyone have a link to a known working version of the software? The Just software manual I have says a "fly" lead with an adaptor works - but the adaptor plugs in to the board internally within the ECU
