Installers in northern France

#1 Post by davefildes1 »

Hi. I have a 4.7L Jeep granf cherokee and based in Jersey. as far as i can tell there is only one guy here who does installations but I have been advised I am better off going to St Malo or northern France for my install. Can anyone give me any info/advice and or nes of garages I can use? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Can't help much but a friend lives in France and was asking about getting a BMW 5 series converted. He found that it was going to cost almost double what he would have to pay here so the plan was that he was going to buy a kit and I would fly down there and we'd install it. It never happened as somebody offered him more for the car than he'd paid for it so he sold it. Knowing the French you won't find the equivalent to the done in a day companies we get here, there doesn't appear to be an equivalent word to urgent in the French language!

Those busy french "done in a month" conversion centre's... Ruining the whole industry in france. they like to take a week of fortnights over it

It's not the cheapest, but it is not outrageous for a big V8

With any LPG conversion, you need to do the sums on your annual mileage to see if it is at all worthwhile.
