Where To Buy 3/4" Poly Pipe Fittings?

#1 Post by pug957 »

Was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy Faro poly pipe fittings? The one's I'm after are the N07 and R15 to fit the 3/4-16 UNF filler threads as used on the JIC connectors. I've tried TT but they were not very helpful and refused to give a straight answer as to whether or not they would order them for me. Tried a few other places but they either didn't reply or said they couldn't help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if they are actually available - I too spoke to TT (I am local to them) and what they said to me was that they have ordered them twice previously from Faro but each time they did not arrive on the order and Faro just said they were not available. I will ask them again next time I am in.

I know Faro list them on their site. When I spoke to TT on the phone I was told they are unlikely to order them as no one would buy them. I did say I wanted to lol.

The only other option I have is to start using adapters into adapters which I really don't want to do as it gives more scope for leaks etc. I know if it's done properly they won't leak etc but also want it looking tidy etc for my peace of mind.

Suppose I could also get custom made hoses but the cost involved there is stupidly high :(

You can get filler hose assemblies to go between the filler and the tank -

1 metre

I have seen other lengths from 500mm to 2.5m, but not on ebay at the moment. Any good?

You can get bayonet fillers with compression nut-n-olive backs, instead of JIC. You then use a standard plain pipe stub end fitting on the polypipe. No adaptors there.

Got all that. What I have in the car is 2 tanks. The large tank is cylinder so JIC hose would work fine there. The problem is I have a toroidal tank which uses either 8mm compression or 1/4" bsp. I'm just looking for a system with as few connections and adapters etc for ease of install and maintenance.

Because of the 2 tanks which hold a total of 150l of gas, I want a system where it isn't going through a narrow pipe before splitting to 2 narrow pipes. I want 1 larger pipe splitting to at least one large pipe and maybe one slightly narrower pipe to help speed fill times. Will probably use the 1/2" ID JIC hoses like TT sell and get a 3/8" ID hose made up with a right angle 3/4" JIC at one end and a right angle 1/4" BSP the other. Not too expensive.

If it was just the smaller toroidal I wouldn't have been bothered but was stood at a pump for 5 minutes yesterday filling up and want to try reduce this lol
