Looking to convert my Cayenne in South Wales
Looking to convert my Cayenne in South Wales
Hi all,
Im trying to read up on LPG, and am conisdering Profess Autogas in South Wales.
They are offering the Stag 300 Premium Kit,
I have a Porsche Cayenne 4.5v8
Does anyone have any words of wisdom, or experience of this engine? I dont know if it requires flash lube, or anything else I might have missed.
Thanks!
Ger

If you want a good install that is cared for and neatly done, don't use someone who will do it in a day. A good conversion will take at least 3 days, and don't be worried if they want it a bit longer.
Getting it installed and setup in a day is just asking for trouble...
Now do profess say they'll do it in a day?....

Tommo2009 is an installer on here based in Monmouth. And he has done a few. He gave me a couple of pointers on the one i converted a while back.

Re: Looking to convert my Cayenne in South Wales
A quick question on my quest for more knowledge:
is there any real benefit to an electronic Valve Saver Kit over a vacuum kit on an N/Aspirated engine?
Or should I save £100 and get a vacuum kit?
Cheers!

vacuum kit's can often stop without you knowing, they also need what feels like constant adjusting as the weather changes.
For the sake of £100 i'd put an electronic one on for peace of mind and knowing the right dose is being done, i really don't think you want to be paying for a rebuild of upper engine (expensive) which is what your going to need if it goes wrong.

As a previous customer of Profess I personally would not use them again.
