tartarini single point wiring diagram

Hi got a new to me disco V8 fitted with a tartarini OMVL R90 mixer set up the problem is that the first time it turns on to gas every morning it stalls after that its fine, I have looked at the system and set up is as so 2 sill tanks from there the pipes go to a filter solenoid valve and then to the R90 also fitted with a solenoid valve mounted transversely behind the nearside headlamp, the wiring from the ECU has mostly unused wires this to me looks wrong the car runs 90% OK but I am getting 200 Mile from 56 L of gas not bad so I need to look at wiring but can't find a diagram for the Tartarini ECU any help would be great. PS there is a stepper motor on the vapour side.

The problem may well be that the gas is weeping out while the car is standing so when it changes over the gas hasn't got to the front yet. I don't think the Tartarini is clever enough to have things like a fuel overlap so it opens the gas valves before switch off the petrol.

Seen the diagram the lambda is wired wrong for a start I think you may have it with the gas leak as the tube from the R90 is long about 1 metre to the mixer with the stepper in the middle am I right in thinking the shorter the better and does the stepper close off the Low Pressure gas when the engine is turned off keeping the tube primed thanks Dave

No.

The emulators (if fitted) contain timing elements for fuel overlap.

The most important thing is that the stepper is as close to the mixer as possible so that the response is quicker. When the lambda says it's too rich and the stepper closes, you don't want the engine running on the rich mixture that's already is the hose.

There's two ways of wiring the lambda sensor. Either as the diagram shows by cutting the signal wire and using both the purple and grey wires or by ignoring the grey and simply Teeing the purple onto the signal wire. By Teeing it you are not relying on the controller to supply the petrol ECU with a simulated lambda signal that may or may not be good enough for the ECU, some get very offended and the fuel trims go way out resulting in rough running on petrol.

the stepper is at least 45cm away from the mixer not sure about emulators as not all the wires are connected on them either anyone got a diagram for them as I think this system is bodged up not even all the joints are soldered. thank

Get the stepper as close to the mixer as possible or you'll never get a steady idle. You'd need to identify exactly what emulators you have fitted but this will give you a good start http://www.aeb.it/products/emulators/pi ... ttachment1

landirenzo emulators the same as the ones in the diagram but no trim pot and a male spade connector in its place, what's the male connector for as it's not connected to anything! thanks

the extra connector is for use with a compatible controller (LCS) that handles fuel overlap timing.
I believe you could probably make that work with the TEC97 by using its yellow wires, as described in that manual, and programming the TEC97 timer

makes sense these two wires are not connected the ECU is a TEC 99, how do I control the overlap time by connecting a data link cable and programming it in, and with a v8 there are two emulators and the TEC 99 has two yellow wires do I use one and split it or use both one for each emulator. thanks
