brand new to LPG problems already

ok so I had an LPG system fitted to my 2002 rover 75 2.0 kv6
single point venturi emmegas vaporiser

it just has no top end power gets to about 3-3500 rpm and dies out .. sat on the drive with no load on the engine it will rev to redline no problem but as soon as it hits full throttle dies back to about 3.5k rpm again .. I am tearing my hair our

any advice

I think the power valve may be set wrong ... can anyone tell me how to set the power valve properly

Power valve? Is it not a closed-loop system at least, with electronic control?
You should be going back to the installer, not tearing your own hair out. I'm sure it would have been a 'low-cost' job, but nevertheless it's still supposed to work properly.

Twiddle nothing until you get a method of seeing results - that could be just an OBD reader plugged into your car to show you live lambda sensor readouts. It's just as likely to be inadequate kit as a setting up issue.

yes its what he said was adequate I dont thrash about ..mainly cruising up the motorways

so just something to cut the cost of running the car really ...

I dont really need performance

however I do need it to work

having hooked it up to my obdii on the laptop its saying its running rich and lean .. odd

one of the codes could be an old'un, clear them and check again after a drive.

It needs setting up properly at the very least, ideally with a lambda controller to keep the mixture correct at all times. Even if you don't need the performance, the mixture will be a bit weak before it is weak enough to be noticeable. That means that while running up the motorway at a constant speed on a weak mixture at best it'll overheat, at worst it will hole a piston. It needs sorting as soon as possible before permanent damage is done.

What says that? You need to tell us what you are looking at - trim values, sensor readings, fault codes? Compare what you see running gas with what you see when running petrol.

Is it really an open-loop system?
