Cannot connect to BiGas ECU Nissan Almera !!

#1 Post by richmac »

:( First post on this site --hope someone can help.
Just installed a BiGas system onto a Nissan Almera.
I cannot connect my laptop to the ECU. The WTV interface appears to be connected ok --shown in device manager and software loaded is BiGas as supplied with the cable. Think i need to change some settings as it cuts out when changing from petrol to gas. The gas light flashes when on petrol. When it changes the gas light is on permanently and then the engine cuts out. did I read someting about swapping 2 wires over on the interface cable ?? Checked power supplies ok / injector connections / continuity of all injectors / good gas pressure at injectors / ECU board looks ok. Anyone help please??

You did read correctly. You need to swap the two centre pins over if it has an oval plug.

The notes about oval sockets won't.
What might apply, all depends on what the lead was originally made/supplied for.
Might help

I guess "just installed" means a secondhand system, as you're describing old-style connector? Sure you have the software to match the ECU? BiGas have made more than one model, with different software needed.

Have you used the correct plug in the kit, or did you buy just one interface?

If you bought the kit then you might need to use a different plug with the reverse connections...

Had a motogas lead here, and as i have said in a previous post, it would talk to bugger all. Bought the correct lead from tinley and all is good.
