lpg gauge on dash

Nice forum with lots of imformation ))))

A question for i have is my car has a 60 ltr tank i run till it is showing red which is about 168 miles but
i can only get abot 26 liters in has anybody any idears , i have only had an lpg car for a week so this is all new to me.

Tank gauge are never accurate, fill it, reset the trip and drive it until it runs out, that will give you a rough idea of how far you can get. Then when you fill it back up, make sure you fill it to roughly 80% of the tank size.

All of us basically do the same, reset the trip and go by mileage...

EDIT - If you don't get roughly 80% fill capacity then we go down the faulty route....

ok thanks i will try that should be empty mid week so will run till it switches over. I have called the person i got the car from
and it was installed 3 years ago and not had a service. On lpg systems uther than testing for leaks and changing filters is there anything else they do on a service?

My P38 Range Rover does roughly 200 miles to the tankfull, but the red LED comes on after around 100 miles. So it tells me it's empty when I have half a tankfull. Some can be made a bit more accurate than that but not by much.
