Converter to run Blos carb?
Converter to run Blos carb?
I've got an LG B2 simple converter supplying a gasresearch throttlebody. I've got a Blos carb I'd like to fit, but I've been told I require a complex converter to run the blos, something that has adjustment for idle mixture/pressure. What brand/type of converter would suit what I'm trying to do?

Re: Converter to run Blos carb?
Need more information of engine size/ configuration and power output to properly advise. OMVL R90e vapouriser is a fine product (what I use) and comes in versions to suit higher power outputs.

An '82 Fiat 2 litre 8v, about 120hp, with plans for an Eaton supercharger puffing 7psi. That was another question I forgot to ask, is the Blos ok for boost? And the converter will have to be able to take a boost reference.
I've been running one of these throttlebodies on it for 5 years:

I can run it with boost, simply have to fit a converter with boost reference. But I've got a Blos carb and have read good stuff about them. It's just hard to find someone that actually uses them.

Re: Converter to run Blos carb?
The BLOS has to go before the blower, which means the blower would be compressing the fuel air mix and your intake will be full of compressed fuel/air mix
Re: Converter to run Blos carb?
Hmm, thanks for that, it has to be draw through, not blow through. I don't want a small bomb hanging off the side of the block waiting for a backfire. I'll stay with what I've got I think and upgrade the converter so it will take a boost reference.e301988325i wrote:The BLOS has to go before the blower, which means the blower would be compressing the fuel air mix and your intake will be full of compressed fuel/air mix
