C4 grand picasso 2008 no room for a tank (air suspension/6 seats small well in floor for inflater kit) making a start in the morning will put some work in progress pics up tomorrow......should be fun...... :? :? :? :?

ah well omelet for dinner tonight just got home tank in filler in back broken (me and the job :lol: ) just as well it was bought for a taxi and he doesn't want the back 2 seats . best advice i can give to anyone wanting to do one of these is DON'T DO IT :lol: :lol: :lol: . would have had some photos but i left the camera in work :oops:

put the filler in the nearside rear just below the petrol filler can get access from under splash guard loadsa room looks ok put the tank on the off side rear longway's custom built frame to fit under rear seats and at the front stepped down to rear floor vent pipes come out just in front of the tank through the 50mm insulation in the rear floor......what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not upside down the sticker is on the wrong way :
D :D :D ........funny you should say that I've never seen a petrol ECU with the plugs on the bottom.......

He is right about the ecu thing. It's just a stupidism really. When ever you open an ecu box they are all upside down. I'm the same, I will put them upside down in an ecu box, but if they are under the bonnet I generally get them plug down.
The other thing that peez me off is the ecu must be secured thing. It's a nice snug fit in the box with the ecu's, but you still need to secure it. It's not going anywhere once the lids back on is it ?

It's only a matter of interpretation - "secured" does not say "screwed down" or "welded in". Use a 'purposive' approach - what is the purpose of securing it? So it doesn't fall in the works, or rattle internally to sparky self destruction. Does wedging it in a closed box meet that purpose? I would say so.
