LPG conversion needed for L322 - North London and surrounds

Hi guys and gals, I have recently come across the forum, and must say it is a great read for anyone new to LPG, and the mass of info that comes with it for a newbie, such as myself.

I have recently bought a Range Rover L322 4.4 2004, with the intention of getting it converted to LPG. Having gone through this site, and plenty of other info on the web, I was starting to get worried with some of the stories about LPG, and having second thoughts about it. But the more I have found out, the more I realise that finding the right installer is vital, as well as getting a good system.

BRC and Prins seems to be most peoples preferred systems, and I have seen some also give positive info regarding the Stag system.

I have shopped around for quotes, and getting prices ranging from £1300 to £2300. I know that the cheapest are that for a reason, but I also don't see the point of paying for the most expensive if the system and installation can be the same from someone cheaper.

Anyway, it would be great if you guys could help me out with recommended installers in London, and the surrounds, anywhere up to around 100 miles away if it financially makes sense. I have seen that there are a couple of users from this forum who are meant to be very good, so anyone that can provide some feedback would be great.

Yeh i know what you mean, i have a very good mate in the Cambridshire area who could do a conversion for you who isnt a forum kind of guy but a very good installer none the less( pm me for his number ), also a chap on here username dualtech who is in bedfordshire, rosko is in Chippenham i believe so all in your 100 mile radius. Im 129 miles away from north london ? so i could meet you at watford gap !
So there's my recommendations, including myself !

Thanks for the response Tubbs, and the PM's I recieved by a couple of others.

I got a quote from a company in Hitchin called Autogas Experts, for £1699 all in. Anyone know much about them? I can't find too much info about them being good/bad etc, so if anyone has used them, it would be great to know.

The other question is about the air compressor relocation, and if anyone has found a good solution for keeping the noise down when doing a conversion.

It would be nice to get some more info as I am pretty new to all of this, and anyone who has had a range rover converted can point me in the right direction, or not, as it may be.

I don't know much about autogas experts I'm afraid. How does the definition go , an ex is a has been and a spurt is a drip under pressure !! They could be very good and just have happen to chosen a very unfortunate name, well in my eyes anyway.
Our dualtech is a bit of a rangey specialist. Personally I mount the compressor on a peice of acoustic foam, the same stuff that they make the carpets out of in diggers and it cuts the noise down considerably. But its the best solution I have managed to come up with.
