BRC Just and Sequent24 are wildly different systems. Perhaps it used to have one, but has been upgraded to the other. Only you can tell by having a look.

That's a Just system then, whatever paper you have for Seq24 doesn't apply at all.
It's a singlepoint (mixer) type closed loop system.

The BRC software for that does not require a dongle, you'd need the old style BRC lead and possibly an adaptor, as the Just ECU may or may not have an external diagnostic connector.
More about that here

Thanks Rossko.
i found information on how to set it up with the control switch for petrol/petrol-LPG/LPG.
Will read more about it tomorrow.
even resets the tank lights on the switch. empty tank first. set it on empty then fill it up with LPG and set up as full tank .
loads to read will get back to update.

But that requires a special diagnostic box plugged in.
I wouldn't recommend going this route (even if a box could be sourced)
a) it's not possible to save the existing setup, only destroy it and start over. Feeling confident?
b) Laptop/software gives access to more fine-tuning parameters and diagnostic readings than the old box.

Is there some reason you are tinkering? Does anything make you think that settings have been lost?

software/cable would be handy to have in toolbox :)

tinkering with plugs leads rotor cap timing!!! in next few weeks. service.
May even do timingbelt same time.

car drives great after sorting fault with lambda *wire* pulled out.
i had takin it to cardiff to be sorted. they connected to computer and said could do no more untill i had a NEW lambda!! only 1 wire was off if they had looked at the connection. charged me for 1 hour work which was less than 5min.

when in carmarthen one day filling lpg tank i spoke with a guy there. customer. he asked me how the car was doing!! chit chat.!!
said i only doing 25mpg on gas , he was shocked . asked if i had a multimeter. opened bonnet. and moved a setting on the vaporiser *alenkey*
every fill up now im getting 29/30 mpg on lpg local or motorway driving loaded or not>!!!
would like to tinker with it to try and get a bit more mpg.

Is that a manual power valve as well as a stepper? If it is I would suspect that the stepper is stuck fully open.

you are correct it has the both.
i cannot say if it open or closed?
rocking the switch in dash does make petrol click on off and lpg on and off. while holding on to the stepper motors, i can feel them working!!!
does not use lpg? when running on petrol if that is what you are asking?
if you know of another way to check i am willing to try!!!!

Photo is the standard BRC Just diagnostic connector.
Good news, it is the later type, no fiddly adaptor required.
Don't worry about how many pins there are , it will work with the correct 3-wire diagnostic cable.
It will not fit the later still 'Sequent' style cable.

It's not unusual to find a manual screw on the mixer elbow, even with a stepper motor system. Installers would often loctite them fully open to discourage tinkerers.

Check what? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Why do you think hooking up a laptop will help? (it might if you knew what you were looking at)

im trying to get more MPG from the LPG.
if one guy at lpg station can get an extra 4 -5 mpg just by adjusting the alenkey, maybe id get more using the program made for it!!!
also changing the switchover from petrol to 2500rpm from 1700rpm as its not enough.
do you know where or whom i could get a cable from rossko? or anyone willing to have a look at the system for me.
im in the carmarthen/swansea area.an willing to travel within reason..
as i have said before after going to a garage *WELL KNOWN* in cardiff and feeling they ripped me off, with the charges i had for the *work* done.

Huh? Most people drop the changeover as low as is practical. I've got mine to change at 1,200rpm so all I need do is start the engine, blip the throttle and it changes over. Why do you want to run on petrol at all?
