Managed to connect to bigas, now lost my low temp change

Got another laptop that connects now to bigas ecu, last night descided I would just save the configuration on the ecu to the laptop. Connected the laptop communicated no probs, turn over to gas, brilliant. Turned back to petrol, clicked save configuration, then the engine stopped? Should it have been turned on when I did this?
Turned ignition off and it started on petrol fine wouldn't switch to gas at all, tried to. Found the file it had saved luckily and loaded that configuration back on. Worked fine but the change over temperature has gone to 45. What's happened? It won't let me alter the temp. Will anything else have changed?

I am pondering running the autocalibration. Will this get it running as it should if setting are off slightly? Do I need to do any more, been reading about tinj, and altering these settings, looks complicated?

Its better to save the information with the ignition turned off, but we have all done it usually it just changes itself over to petrol if you are running on gas. Ive never done it whilst it was on petrol, maybe it turns off the petrol injectors so the engine stops. I can honestly say i don't know but i will find out next time i get the chance. Any changes you make it needs to have the ignition switched off and restarted to take effect. As far as the temp change over etc goes it may be a firmware issue. The software you have may be a later version than the one the ecu was originally programmed with perhaps. If you load up the new firmware think its ecu reprogramming on the options page. just follow through and it should only give you one option. If it doesn't then shout. Reprogram with the ignition off. It wont reset the settings that you have set into it, thats on the reset ecu tab on the page with the map on it and stuff. You may find you have some more options like start gas on hot engine and an option to run without an rpm feed from the coil, its just a check box next to the rpm type config, dependent on what version you have. If you still want to run autocalibration then use the reset ecu option and set all the configuration again on the screen, rpm, lambdas, injector type etc so make a note of all that so you know what it should be. Then run calibration and it will be like a fresh install. Turn off the engine, take the key out of the ignition, then re start.

Thanks again, after I reloaded the config to the ecu it has been running fine. Just got to wait a bit longer for it to switch over. I checked through and it all seems to work fine. Not quite as much power on gas but its always been like that.

If I can build up the courage I might do a fresh calinration, going to silverstone next weekend so I am reluctant to mess until after that.

Why not have a go at loading one of the configurations that you get with your software for an identical car/engine? I've been doing some work on my bigas system today and decided to load one of these congfigurations and was very happy to discover that the change over temp had been reduced down to 30 degrees C with this particular configuration. It was impossible to do this reduction myself as I didn't have the dongle It's also running very nicely indeed I might add. Obviously make sure that you save your existing config in case you want to return to it. You might have to change some of the settings like the type of level sensor etc that you're using but as you know that's very easy to do.

DONGLE !±!!±±!!!!!
I keep forgetting its supposed to have a dongle ! Someone mentioned this the other day. None of my bigas or emer software has a dongle. Its probably something to do with the dongle and nothing to do with firmware.
Ignore everything i said above then. Probably wont work without a fully functional copy of the software with the dongle plugged in the back anyhow.
