british lpg wembly

hi all out there please can you help me? I have a Toyota Previa which has been converted to lpg about 5 years ago by British lpg in Wembly. These people are no longer there so i decided to go to another garage but it ended up to be four garages, obviosely lpg ones but nowone knows what software they have used plus the ecu. I need the car to be calibrated what are my options? Thanks.

You might find out what system you are trying to have sorted out. Didn't any of the four at least identify the brand for you?

The car needs to be calibarated via ecu but knowone knows what system they have used plus no label on ecu.

Not giving us much to go on, don't know why you want it calibrated and can't see anything about what you got. Pictures? Got a certficate, what does that say?

A photo of the ECU and a general underbonnet shot may give someone a clue.

ok tickover very uneven and yes i have a certicate it notes regulator make zavoli but the regulator on car is a tomasetto

Does'nt really matter what your make of regulator is, it has probably been changed . Follow the wiring and see what make the lpg ecu is. Usually near the battery.

How about a description of the ECU? Black plastic box, possibly Zavoli Regal single-point, alloy box possibly Zavoli Alesei injection, guessing that vap substitution might be a repair. In either case there should be makers numbers engraved on the back.

I'd guess it might be Regal as not many UK people have the software to try on that, and without a paper label it would be difficult to distinguish from its common Leonardo/Millennium/Pegaso sisters (which use different software).

rossko, i found an lpg garage in barnet herts, and there was a polish man working there at the time. He had the software to my car. He said the software was called tornado. He is no longer there. Can this be true that there is such software? Its a silver box with one black and one grey plug with no markings on the box.

Finding that with a Tomasetto vaporiser wouldn't be suprising, but doesn't seem to have anything at all to do with the "Zavoli" on your paperwork. I don't know of anyone in the UK who could help with that, if that is what it is.

Unfortunately that fits an awful lot of different systems, but does narrow it down as far as it is probably an injection system so we are making slow progress. As said before, there will be engraved makers numbers on the back.

I have looked at the ecu inside out and there are no engraved numbers or markings .Is it possible to change the ecu without changing the wire loom.?

Only to one of the same type, but we don't know etc.....

Many LPG ECUs are made by common electronics factories and are in fact interchangeable between some system "brands". The software is usually different, and doesn't necessarily support the other parts it could be connected to when substituted for a different brand. Which is a windy way of saying "maybe", but insufficient info here.
