negative on injectors on 4.4 range rover bmw engine l322

can anyone help me need to fined out which is negative on injectors or has anyone got the wiring diagram for the injectors thanks lads

The positive is the red/white wire, the negative is a different colour on each injector.

mate all my injectors wires are red and white and brown and white as far as i can see

Well that's the Land Rover diagram for the injectors on an L322, but it appears that red/white is positive (check it with a meter, it will be ignition switched and comes off fuse 3) so the other one will be negative.

Mate was on to tinly tec they said they have come across this before I don't want to cut into the loom and it b wrong

If the wiring is purely BMW, ask on http://www.bmwland.co.uk as there'll be numerous members who'll have the wiring diagrams on cd.

You could always do as Gilbertd says which is by far the better way and very easy to check.

Now I'm getting to be an olde farte, the first clue that I needed specs was that I couldn't see the colours on striped wires, long before any problems with small print

Get yourself down to your local Asda, that's if you can actually find your way there , as they've been selling 2 pairs for £2.

lads have come across a wee prob i need find the wire on one of the coils to get my rpm signal for the gas ecu i was on to tinly tec they said its one of the 4 wires on any coil but they cant remember what wire it is can any one help (Gilbertd)

Each coil, and you've got one per cylinder, has 3 wires, a brown, a green and another which is a different colour per coil. It's this one that has the pulses from the ECU on it. I thought I had seen something somewhere that said it's better to take a feed from the pulses that drive the rev counter but having just checked the diagram, although the earlier P38 drives the rev counter with pulses from the ECU, the L322 drives it with data from the CAN bus so that isn't an option.

Why not buy yourself a workshop manual cd from that well known auction site which will include all of the wiring diagrams amongst many other things?

lads got all up and going on the range rover 4.4 but is lumpy(hunting ) on idle has anyone come across this

Did you start with new sparkplugs? What system type are we talking? How did your setting up go? What gas pressure are you running? What type injectors do you have? What size nozzles did you select?

Did you start with new sparkplugs..... one word NO BUT THIS IS WHAT I WAS THINKING just found out that it only hunts when the air con is on
