Landi Renzo leaking vapouriser

Hello all,

I have a Landi Renzo multipoint system on a 3.9 efi range rover. I have been experiencing lack of power on acceleration, once a decent speed has been reached it is OK, and an occasional lpg smell in the cab. On inspection, the vapouriser has been spitting gas out through the lower gasket. The vapouriser is an IG1 model.

So a few questions, does anyone have any experience servicing this vapouriser? I have seen different service kits but they all seem to have different components. If I service the vapouriser will I need to undergo a diagnostic set up for pressure etc?
Finally, I don't know whether the acceleration problem is a result of the leak, obviously the leak must be the priority but the acceleration problem has been there for a little while. Sometimes it will just die on acceleration, the engine will not stop just not react to the addition of gas,
on a long run I have been accelerating on petrol and once achieving approx 50mph everything is fine, if I stop it is back to petrol again!

It may be that the 'gasket' you can see is the edge of the diaphragm. If the diaphragm is goosed, the vaporiser won't regulate gas pressure very well and this might well tie in the described performance problem.

After a rebuild you really ought to check pressure setting, but you might get away with it.

I have just rebuilt mine, and I can say it works alot better. Like you I had a fairly dodgy idle on LPG.
