Landi Renzo Parts Suppliers?

This botched Landi Renzo system on the Mondeo is finally working right. But it is not all roses (quite literally!).

Firstly, the car stinks of Lpg thanks to a previous installer crossthreading the pipe connection going into the solenoid. So I need another solenoid (and copper pipe).

I also need some 14mm gas pipe which seems to be as rare as rocking horse poop in addition to a new filter where an element will do (they are replaceable in this system).

My question to you kind folk is where can I obtain the above spares from. I am based in Warwick but I am happy to mail order

The kit I believe is not a bad bit of kit. It is the installation of it that is this car's downfall.

Unless the solenoid is a strange one and used only by Landi? almost any 12v one could be fitted. You need to use one with the same size fittings for 6mm or 8mm pipe depending what was used.
You can get them fron ebay or Tinley Tech to name 2. Tinley Tech will give good advice over the phone and you can buy filters for the solenoid at the same time. The same solenoid is used by many kit makers so you can compare photos on the Tinley web site. They will have all the stuff you need. Most installers have access to a supplier so some may not mind ordering one for you either. I would buy a Bigas or Valtec solenoid as filters are easy to get and change. Good luck.

Welcome to yet another Renzo flaw as I call it.

Instead of using conventionally bored rubber LPG pipe, the injectors and vapouriser only take a bore of 14mm pipe, meaning the filters and pipe are not interchangeable with any other gas system. I once had an LPG installer claiming I was mad to suggest my car had that bore of rubber pipe until he went under the bonnet...

It appears that the solenoid connection is now ok. But the seal on the bottom of the vapouriser has failed badly. 100 miles for 50 litres anyone?

I officially hate this car and Landi Renzo systems. Why anyone would recommend the piece of Italian @!## is beyond me. I'm sure Lancias are sturdier than my POS system.

I am sure it can be fixed. It would have to be a total disaster for it not to be fixable. If the system has ever run properly then it can be fixed , you just need the right person to do it or take a step back, learn a bit about the systems and then fix it yourself.
Is the reducer one of those square ones
I think Landi Renzo have packed up in the UK? There is no mention of a uk agent on their main web site for this country. Does'nt mean you will not find parts though. There are people who will still have the software and parts or they could be ordered from europe.

That is the problem. I am beginning to wonder if it ever did. Especially when I changed an instrument cluster bulb only to find the ECU light had been blocked up with some old looking putty.

Yes it is a square vaporiser. I did manage to source the bits in the end but a couple of other problems have appeared with the system but quite a few have also gone too. It is probably the best this system has performed for us now mind you. I will continue to get this car working right, albeit at my peril.

Regarding getting it looked at a pro, both suggested I got of their systems installed instead. I had the chance to put a system in this a year ago too.

On the plus side after all the mucking about over 2-3k ish and above it actually pulls quite well on gas now, near as damnit indistinguishable from petrol under those conditions
