nozzles

#1 Post by munkymush »

ive seen nozzles that are just plain brass tubes and also ones with like a grill over the end ?
is there any difference to performance with them, whats the idea of the grill/mesh is it to create swirl or something with the lpg? just curious as to why its needed?

If mesh is fine enough, it'll inhibit flame propagation in the same way as a Davy lamp does, but whether that is its primary purose in this context, I do not know.
kind regards

mesh was probably the wrong description .. its part of the brass nozzle and it looks like the end has about 5 holes through it instead of 1 full hole

sorry my description was totally bad.. just looked at one of these nozzles.. they have a convex domed end with a ring of 6 holes drilled in it .. they are 3mm diameter from the rubber pipe end .. to me though as a quick estimate it looks like approx only half the 3mm is drilled through.. approx half is blocked by metal between the aforementioned holes? id just like to know whats the gain in them or are they for a specific application or what.. ..i got them with a 8cyl injection kit.. and ive not seen anyone else with anything like em ..
