Considering the install on the last V6 we bought was a mixed bag, I thought I'd see what you guys recommend.
Our old V6 has a Landi Renzo Omegas system, but slightly gone wrong LOL. The vapouriser is right at the front (and the bottom) of the car with the piping for the gas being attached to the subframe, and then it has the ECU next to the front of the car (I guess space is an issue, and it is a sealed unit). But I have had to remake a number of the joins (due to poor workmanship) and it certainly has been an eye opener on a particular LPG Specialist near me... (For one, the temp sensor doesn't work on it and I still haven't got to the bottom of the misfiring at low revs... Maybe I should wash my hands of the car).
The new Mondeo is a 3.0 V6 making 202BHP. What I wish to ask is what LPG system would you fit in it? I am looking at the OMVL kit or would you go for something else? Where would you also put various things? I am willing to go for a smaller battery in order to install the ECU near it, but where would you put the vapouriser (I am thinking near the front of the car on the driver's side).
I may also run it on Flashlube considering the last V6 suffered VSR (but that engine had also been seriously overheated prior to my ownership (again, thanks to poor coolant connections, of which most have been revised).
I can provide pictures if needby, but underneath, if looks quite similar to an ST220 engine if you are familiar with one of those.
Whilst it probably should put me off doing a Mondeo again, the 2.0 I did years ago did a near faultless 300,000 miles on LPG (on a 'lowly' Zavoli system), and proved the benefits of LPG quite well.
Cheers.
Which LPG Kit? Mondeo 3.0 V6

I converted my 3.0 V6 S-Type Jag with Tinleytechs Bigas system and the the conversion was very straight forward. It runs very well but, as I mentioned in another post, the quality of the wiring into the injector rails and the temp sensors is pretty poor IMO.
Re, location of the components, we need to see some pics.

Mine is a Ghia X, not an ST220, hence a slightly more detuned car. I believe with a remap and ST220 exhaust (much less restrictive (1 Sports Cat compared to 2 pre cats and a main cat on top of a windy exhaust system)) will bring it up to ST220 spec.
However, with the history of mine, it *might* have some ST bits...
