LPG Northampton(shire) - All Known Prices In Here!

#1 Post by Nath »

I no longer have an LPG car and will no longer be updating this thread.
Please check the LPG Map (http://www.filllpg.co.uk/index.php?page=lpg.php) for all future updates.

Best regards,
Nath
Following on from an idea I read in another part of the forum I thought I'd create this thread with the aim of listing all the LPG forecourts in Northamptonshire (NN postcode)

I'll edit this 1st post every time I'm notified of a change and will put the date that I amended the price as well.
If you can see any I've missed, or you know the price has changed please add a post and I'll update this as soon as I can!

LPG Direct near the steel works entrance was still 50.9ppl this morning, even Chrysler Garage in Kettering town centre is 63.9 now. I dread to think what BP A14 Kettering is now, dare not look.
It cost me £19.90 fill up today, 274 miles this week in my Zafira from filling last time. Over 65 to the gallon equivalent roughly from mixed driving?

Do you guys complain loudly when you go to pay for it .

I do .each and every time ..i even persuade the other customers to do the same .give them a real ear bashing ..

if no one says nothing they will put it up to what the market will stand ...so staying quite is not the thing to do .

56.9 up here in north wales (Rhyl Morrison's)and i hope to see it less .

seems to me, the cheapest areas are where they have a number of taxi businesses running on it ..

i remember when i went into the stoke area .lots of taxis running on it .and it was cheap ..

Accrington was also 5 pence cheaper than north wales at the time i uses to visit ..about 2 years ago.. .again lots of taxis on it .

all the best.markj

Got a feeling Shell on the A5 will have gone up too, and Morrisons in Wellingborough. If anyone can confirm please reply with details :)

Filled up at Calor in Wellingborough today (DGM - used to be HB Howes)
57.0pp/l. Their pump is still set to 54.9pp/l but they multiple the litres by .57 in the office. The even rounded it down to the nearest litre when charging me! :)

Seems to be 66-67ppl at bp in Northants now everywhere.
Corby's cheapest is 53.9 at lpg direct. I bet the bp station near there does a roaring trade in lpg, not.
Chrysler garage in Kettering 63.9.

Updated both of those, and BP on A14 was 66.9 when I drove past last night.
As far as I'm aware BP in Northampton (Westbridge, opp train station) is still 62.9, do we have any other confirmed sightings? Especially BP Raunds, Corby & the one near Olney on A428.

Are we in for another round of increases this week?

*Sigh*, at least it's still roughly half price with petrol around 119.9.
BP Olney added, drove past today @ 68.9 (and kept on driving!)
PetrolpricesDOTcom list Morrisons Wellingborough as 63.9 so updated that too.

Morrisons in Wellingborough used to be very cheap 3 years ago, they don't seem to bother now which is not very Morrinsons.
If it was not for lpg direct in Corby selling lpg a conversion would barely be worth the bother in northants.
I can see the price creeping up and when my cars die I see 2 old diesel mercs or volvos on the horizon running on homebrew diesel.
