well , it has finally arrived , a european standard connector

installation has already begun some 18 months ago in spain and poland , perhaps elsewhere

adaptors for the old systems are being produced , but haven't seen one yet myself

I like this. I have encountered Staubli connectors in other industries, they are certainly quality components.

Looks like a much safer system for disconnecting. Far less chance of gas burn.

Alas I can't see it spreading to the UK too soon somehow. I wouldn't think the level of LPG use here would justify the cost of changing the pumps for the fuel companies, unless regulations forced it in. Looking forward to being proved wrong though.

no changing the pump or the hose ...just the pistol

I presume this will be available from more than one manufacturer

to meet the regulations the gas loss must be less than 0.1 ml when you disconnect , not enough to be visible if you look at the video clip

Someone will be along in a minute to say that it's as bulky as a Dutch bayonet and why didn't they just use a 10mm thread ...

I like that , direct replacement for the bayonet.

by my calcs the government should have that in place just about when fossil fuel runs out ....or when our boys fighting the cause get some more helicopters

just to say that the adaptors are being advertised on ebay germany ....don't ask the price though

the favoured name looks to be euronozzle , which makes sense to me , not been used before so no confusion
