No one in my area works on my system, software i got from Tinley Tech doesn`t adjust what i want. But surely it would be economical to drive (even on petrol) to someone who can fix it, even if they're not in the local area? It seems madness to have a system fitted that costs more to run than the fuel it intended to replace and then not use it. Even if it cost you a tank of petrol, it has to be worth it.

Maybe you could just peel back the carburation setting 5 or 10% and try to see if you get better MPG.
It's sounds like the nozzels are too big. Ideally you want the indicator on the main page to display "too small" as this gives good MPG and all the importers say don't worry about it reading "too small" it's only a guide and doesn't really matter.

Greenaways at Launceston - BP Garage - have reduced their LPG price to 55.9ppl from 58.9ppl. Meanwhile BP at Roundswell in Barnstaple are charging 48.9ppl - WHY THE BIG DIFFERENCE ???? Thet are both BP garages buying from the same distributer !!!!! Needless to say I'm buying my £300 worth of LPG per month from Roundswell
try asking who sets the price ; at most outlets they have no control ...for example I was recently at a shell franchise and was told that they had no control , shell changed the pump and price board electronically from their office...and just to prove the point shell changed the lpg price as I stood discussing the matter

The price of autogas may well have something to do with the price that domestic customers are being charged at the moment. By domestic customers I am refering to those who heat their homes with propane stored in bulk tanks. I was paying 0.36 ppl, but last month I got a letter fom Calorgas which stated that they were putting the cost of a litre up and that it would now cost 0.48 ppl. I dont even think that the vat was included. If so then that would make it about 0.50 ppl. Vat being 5% on domestic propane. It would be cheaper if I slung their 1400 litre tank into the back of my van and took it down to the local lpg filling station. Domestic propane is supposed to be significantly cheaper than autogas propane. In April of next year, new rules will come into force which will allow domestic customers to change suppliers more easily and without the need to have the storage tank replaced for one supplied by the new supplier. Flowgas has been actively renewing their contracts with their customers that have or were due to expire befor next April. They have been trying to get their customers to sign up and to pay around 0.48 ppl not including vat for between two and five years. You may not have to look to far for the answers as to the cost of autogas if you bare all this in mind. I would'nt expect any price drops in autogas until after next April. Infact you may well see a big price increase to expand the gap between the domestic lpg and the autogas lpg.

I spend £300 a month on LPG and whilst businesses have to make a profit there's no need to employ the "Dick Turpin" method....at least he had the decency to wear a mask !!

Midnight, can you provide a link to where it talks about how the rules are changing for domestic propane. I've got a 1200 ltr tank under my front lawn and the last fill was 47ppl. Should be cheaper in the next few months but I've just had a few storage heaters installed to augment (and let me choose) the heating system of preference.

The new rules should be coming into force on 13 April 2009. The main change that will affect both the customer and the supplier will be the ease at which the customer can change the supplier. The new supplier will be allowed to buy the customers tank from the old supplier. There should be no need for the old supplier to remove their tank as there was before. When you sign a new contract with the new supplier, then the maximum length of time that that contract can last for will be two years. Currently contracts can tie you to a supplier for upto five years. I am a member of another forum which disscuses the price of fuel. i.e. electricity, gas, lpg and oil to mention a few. Central heating oil is to replaced with red diesel...at least in the north west UK.
So anyone that has a boiler the burns kerosene.......will now have to upgrade or change jets....or worse, the boiler !!!

Far as i could find out ..kerosene cracker at Stanlow causing/giving problems, too hard and expensive to fix....and ...it's to save the oil company's more money ..by only supplying one product not two.

I've heard of people using jet fuel for their boiler as its cheap, it may be an alternative for you. Red diesel is about .50 ppl where I am in Wisbech. That would make it an expensive fuel for domestic use.
