Hi all,
this is my first lpg car and having driven it around town and on motorway recently i refuelled the car on gas and calculated the MPG. £13.50 at 59.9p for 110 miles so am averaging 22mpg on gas. Is that good for a 2006 model astra 1.4i life. I was hoping it would be better than that. Any suggestions. It recently had all the lpg filters changed.
22mpg on vauxhall astra 1.4 i 2006 model
Seems quite high really for a 1.4. My SAAB 2.0ltr turbo does between 22 and 26 mpg depending on types of journeys, right foot and time of year. Recently did a gentle (only doing less than 80mph) long trip to the south coast and that produced the 26. However, there is also the temperature/time of day that you fill up. You get more gas in during the cooler days and this will impact on what you think your consumption is. Suggest you keep a record over a few hundred more miles/different running before worrying.
