hi, ive got a 1990 100,000 mile 3.2 jag running on a single point closed loop system. has any body got anything similair because i would like to ask what kind of mpg i could expect. so far on different runs im getting a range of 15-21mpg is this any good? the best i had on petrol was about 28mpg down the motorway when i picked it up and i drove like a nun on 9 points.

I have a 1995 x300 3.2 running on a single point system. I am getting about 20 mpg at the moment on mixed driving. I previously got between 18-27 mpg on petrol. It's only been installed about 5 months and is not my main car so it's a bit early for me to draw conclusions just yet. As a rule of thumb LPG loses about 20-25% mpg against petrol so 20-22 is about right.

Over 11300 miles I have kept fairly meticulous records and my 1997 3.2 Sovereign has averaged an abysmal 13.7 mpg on a single point system.
Even on regular long runs I have NEVER achieved more than 18 on LPG.
As a test I completed a 200 mile journey on petrol and managed 21.
This is my 6th Jag and by far the thirstiest. All the others have acheived regular 25's.
I recently spent £400 trying to improve my system and mpg. A complete waste of money!!
