lpg prices

hi all jet service station in whaplode ,lincs,uk, has just increased thier lpg prices the third time in a week last friday it was 47.9p then 48.9p at the weekend now today its 52.9p i asked why it had gone up and was told they recieved a phone call and told to increase it how much higher is this going to go when will the goverment and retailers stop fleecing the motorist?

Price in Scotland went up last year by about 7ppl but has remained the same ever since. The BP station I use (only out of convenience) has pretty much permanent discount offers on though. The newest one being 4p of a litre if you refill within 14 days of the last time you bought LPG. Do you get the same kind of offers down south? It is currently at 46.7 at my BP but if you take advantage of the offer it's fairly reasonable. Anyone had similar experience?

So it's not just me imaging the increases are coming thick and fast. Unless the jet station in question has had 3 deliveries in a week, this is just blatant profiteering. As I have tried to point out to other LPG users, the whole thing smacks of a cartel with everybody other than the few odd independents, rising prices in unison.

As for Scotland, we English are already subsidising most aspects of your economy so wouldn't put it past the fuel companies to be taking a leaf out of G. Browns book.

Dave, as cynical as you sound I fear you may be right. At this rate I'll be ditching the extra weight and loss of performance of an LPG conversion and just using petrol.
