... I really need your help! (there is a lack of quality services (installers) here. As well as informations about LPG) I have Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 Selespeed (`99) What kit should I put in my car by your oppinion? I have a choice: BRC, Lovato, LandiRenzo, E-Gas... and there are no other brand available here. Thanks a lot!

Hi Brian, I was about to quit coming here since nobody answered to my question. I’m trying to learn fast everything about LPG systems on this forum because I can’t afford mistakes. I live in Belgrade, Serbia, ex Yugoslavia. Any suggestion?

No Brian, I don’t believe that I can do that myself. I think that quality of a system depends on its installation. At the moment, I am working with some car accessories (aftermarket stuff like HID lights, car audio-video, PDC...) but I will let some experienced guys to install LPG kit to my car. I just have a headache which system to choose. Some guys here offered me BRC Sequent 24 and Landi Renzo don’t-know-which-model. Guys from BRC are their official supplier for this market. There is just Lovato official service beside that.

One more thing. There is no such thing as LPGA here, or independent installers. Just a few services and a lots of Chineese copies...

I can tell you that I've heard in several places to avoid any system that starts with a 'B'. Landi has been used in alot of cars, but I don't know whether they still have the most advanced systems. Can you not order Romano or OMVL Dream from elsewhere?

Richard, What about BRC sequent 24? Guys from BRC offered me that model... What is difference between "24" and "Fast"? (If you know...) Today people from Landi official distribution service told me that they don`t have kit for my car...

Hey Vlada, I'm not really the man to advise on different systems as I'm not an installer. I can tell you that the 'fast' system is very good in my opinion, deliveres a stonking amount of power through a single vapouriser and suprisingly small injectors, and also very simple to setup / tune. Rich

That's the reason I did my own conversion, having had to sort out my girlfriends professionally converted car. Having liberated myself from the installers I now find my supplier selling me a faulty emulator (allegedly). What do I have to do? Try another planet?

'Having liberated myself from the installers' Hmmm..... Don't forget were you got your recent assistance with your problem Brian. Not all installers are the same. Also note that even installers like me need the help of other installers now and then. A DIY'er is certain to be no different.

'Having liberated myself from the installers' Steady on Steve, I was referring to the installers who had converted my girlfriends car. I did acknowledge the help you'd given me on the ever popular 'girly' thread. That alone should indicate that I don't think all installers are the same

Might have been what you meant Brian but it wasn't what you wrote. I'm not interested the 'Girly' thread. I'm also not interested in any acknowledgment, nor do I seek it. Honesty is more my cup of tea. What must be plain is that when advice is given to one person it is there for others to read months or even years later, this is good for all (even other installers) and does not 'fish' for gratitude from the initial enquirer. However, I have to say I do get a little tired of the current flavour of threads in general, where Installers good and bad are derided, whilst on adjacent pages they are expected to give quite valuable advice when things go wrong. Before leaping to your pen, remember I have said 'In general'. I hope you get your problem sorted out.

Sorry Vlada I am going to be of no help at all as I am completely and utterly biased. I would only fit e-GAS because I think its the best. Technically I think it’s the most technologically advanced system in the market place at the moment. It is one of, if not the only system that does not use its own fuel map ! Just the petrol fuel map, the one that the manufacturer spent 100's of 1000's of pounds producing and refining to get maximum drivability, economy and power. It is I am led to believe the only system on the market that can actually use EOBD fuel trim data to modify the LPG/CNG calibration, to both iron out any inaccuracies during installation and initial calibration and then continually keep the LPG system at almost zero fuel trim. This can only mean one thing the best fuel consumption figures possible. As I said no help at all ! Simon
