Yeah, Morrisons is about the cheapest mainstream garage, I am paying 39.9 but when you take into account their loyalty card that takes it down to 38.5pence which I am happy with, especially with petrol now at nearly £1

regulators for bottled gas are now 30Mb for both propane and butane under the new regs ; personally I have used a 50Mb regulator for both for many years

a bottle of a given size will be filled with less propane than butane due to the increased pressure at a given temperature eg in france the standard bottle is supplied with either 13 Kg of butane or 11 Kg of propane ; in spain the same size is 12.5 Kg /11Kg ; are you sure the prices are for the same weight of gas?
in nz and USA home compression kits for ng have been available for many years ; but as your car is converted to run on lpg not ng how would this help you?

Does seem reading this that Morrisons are setting their prices at 39.9 in most places . At least you can expect a regular price wherever you go if there is a Morrisons .
On my Motorhome which is Diesel with lpg boost I also have a refillable domestic cylinder [ Gaslo ] so when I refil my vehicle tank it also refil's the domestic . With a 13kg Calor propane cylinder it actually worked out at over £1 litre when I went to replace the empty. This was over a year ago so must be more now.

On a small side-note to the above comment, I had a reply back from the Transport Minister yesterday after my local MP kindly forwarded my letter of concern over the prices of LPG continually rising - above the rate of petrol.

He suggested it may be a matter for Trading Standards (I think this was the correct department) due to the WILD variation in price across the country. i.e. the more affluent 'business' areas seem to be paying 25%+ more for LPG! i.e. unleaded may vary ~10% across the country... 84p -> 95p for example (excuse my very rough maths )

I'm undecided whether to bother as I fear they'll fall back on the 'competition' card... but it was nice to have my voice heard for a change! May I suggest anyone unhappy with the rising prices do simular so I'm not a lone voice out there!

Regards,

Richard

I pulled into Reading services at the weekedn to find LPG @ 50+ pence! I then drove up the road a bit and found it for 47.9p - which is as cheap as it gets in Reading / Newbury

Rich

Local Total garage in Burnley has just dropped their price from 42.9 to 38.9 a litre. Nice surprise.
