Stalling when slowing down and stopping.
only when using LPG - when slowing down at roundabouts and junctions - the auto box changes right down before the car is stopped as you would expect - when doing so the revs drop right down from around 1k rpm to about 200 rpm then leap back up to around 800rpm - then if stationary the car will idle properly at around 600rpm.

but every now and again the revs drop right off and the car stalls - this is a hazard in situations where you keep the car rolling then go to pull away. Happened to the wife on a major intersection and she was left stationary in the middle of the junction stalled.

I suspect the mixture is weak - may be getting too much air.

Is it true that the air intake at the front of the vehicle should be redirected into the engine bay rather than take air direct from the airstream?

any reccomendations.

thanks

sorted.

when putting the airbox back together i noticed the intake had been modified with a Ford end piece poking into the engine bay instead routed to the front grille. I thought it had been bodged so i fitted a different piece and rerouted it the stock way.

Just changed it back and it runs fine now.

although when in park the idle rises and rises. so another thing to fathom. lol.

at least i'm learning as i go.
