Nissan primera problem

my nissan primera 2litre automatic 02 reg has had big problems lately stalling often etc to cut to the quick one of the members richy boy advised me to look at the compression the cylider head was taken off by nissan and showed that the valves needed replacing or skimming took it to a independant repairer who now is doing it, the car has only done 28,000 miles and was converted to lpg 18 months ago at 10,000 miles .However the cause seems to be the heat from the gas entering the chamber is washing off any lubrication on the valves so the valves now are knackered even at 28,000 miles .I have been in touch with a local lpg installer and he said there is a vapouriser(dont know if its called this excise my ignorance) or some device that can inject into the cylinder head a lubricant so reducing the friction and keeping the valves cooler and lubricated, can you please let me know if you have any info or advice about what I should do next when the cylinder head is restored to my car ,I am going to stay on petrol (unwillingly) till I know that what is done is not going to repeat itself and cost me another fortune to put right .The Nissan home site as said as from march 2005 they will not supply vehicles specifically for the purpose of being converted to run on lpg and therefore will not take any responsibility for any warranty(is there something quirky about converting a primera to lpg as the mechanic doing the cylinder head said he hardly ever gets heads from any nissan cars but thats ones running on petrol) so I think the primera and other models have had problems after conversion.I am going to put this on the forum to gather as much info not only for myself but others to re act too.Thanks for reading this very long post ant advice or help would be appreiciated

as an afterthought. <BR> <BR>my E200 tartarni system was installed 4 years ago this Feb bt autogas2000 thirsk. the car has covered approx 100K on lpg. <BR> <BR>it now sits at 208K miles. <BR> <BR>the possible valve wear has concerned me but as the install has been so succesfull I would have thought such lube kits are unnecessary for my car otherwise problems would have materialised earlier in its life. <BR> <BR>does anyone have any comments?

Now up to about 50000 on my mondeo. Flashlube drips in about every 5/10 secs. My mechanic checks valve clearances at <i>every</i> service to try and spot any early warnings. So far, so good. <BR> <BR>For the sake of a few bob I wouldn't risk my car without Flashlube.

thanks to everyone who passed on their advice and info I am now going to stay on petrol untill I,m sure the flash lube kit works with the primera and do not have to go and pay out a fortune again because of the valve recession I had

Hi anothony; <BR> <BR>I have been hearing good things about this flashlube stuff, although I don't think anyone will guarentee your valves will be Ok once it's being used. <BR> <BR>I've asked a few supliers of this stuff if it would work in my car (Turbo'd) but no one has been able to confirm this. I suspect the manifold pressure will push air backwards into the flashlube bottle and depending on the pressure, would either blow bubbles or blow the bottle up! <BR> <BR>I might be worth buying the kit and trying it out. Depending on your mileage per year, in some sick way it may still turn out more economical to save (for example) £1500 in fuel costs, but pay out £500 on a valve recess fix! If you start using the flashluve I would suspect your mileage would at least double before the same things happen, if not more. <BR> <BR>Either way, this would explain why so many manufacturers have pulled out of using LPG as their alternative fuel! <BR> <BR>Rich
