I'm new here and have joined because I'm finding the response of the DVLA mystifying.
I bought a Saab 93 Sportwagon 2.0 litre 176bhp in 2022 & had it converted to LPG successfully.
It took me some time after that to notify the DVLA that my car was now dual fuel and they have recently told me that I have to pay a nominally larger amount in duty (just under £14, so not earth shattering).
I thought that one of the points of having an LPG conversion on a car was to be more environmentally friendly and that would be reflected in your road tax - although I didn't think it was massively different, presumably because they can't monitor the extent to which every motorist uses LPG over petrol.

Usually road tax is the same or cheaper after LPG conversion.
I've never heard of anyone's road tax increasing in price due to LPG conversion and that makes no sense at all.
Installers like myself never used to mention the slightly cheaper road tax after LPG conversion, it was only around £10 cheaper so was hardly worth a mention, the real savings are because LPG is cheaper to buy than petrol

This made me think as once converted an LPG or CNG fuelled car used to get £10 discount. So I've just looked it up and we are now lumped in with all the other petrol and diesel powered cars with the rate solely on the CO2 figure. They snuck that one in quietly....

That started from this year so depending where your tax was due in the year it may not have been noticed yet.

As far as the original post is concerned, it should fall under this group for tax (as earlier ones never got a discount anyway and Saab stopped producing cars before any of the later ones could be relevant)

It might help to have a look at the vehicle check page at https://www.gov.uk/get-vehicle-information-from-dvla
and enter the logbook number where it shows "view the tax rates for this vehicle." once you've entered the numberplate and are shown the basic vehicle details, that would then show the vehicle banding and other info, that in turn may show DVLA have done something incorrectly as the band shouldn't change AFAIK.
