Re: Starting Problem with kei hin injectors .
Liqui Moly stopped making LPG injector cleaner but you can buy a different brand from Mick at LpgAutosupplies.

Is the IC12 injector cleaner any good?

Re: Starting Problem with kei hin injectors .
Yes it seems to work but you don't get much (quantity wise) for the money, it's sold in 50ml or 100ml little bottles which they call '1 shot' or '2 shots'.
I think they purposefully sell it in such small quantities because if you put much more than 50ml in at a time the injectors would be full of the liquid cleaner instead of gas and the engine could stall when you tried to switch to LPG.
If there was a product equally as effective but a similar price for twice the quantity it would be twice as good value because then you'd have 4 shots for the same price as 2. I've been using the stuff Mick sells that's designed to clean reducers rather than injectors and it is around half price for the same quantity. You could still use 25ml in each injector rail at a time... Or if you have the software and interface and your LPG ECU has a built in injector cleaning facility you can flood the injectors (and the feed pipe to injectors) with cleaning fluid and the engine won't stall during cleaning because the cleaning facility only pulses an individual injector for a brief moment before pulsing the next injector. Even if your ECU doesn't have a built in injector cleaning mode most still allow you to switch individual cylinders to run on petrol, so you can emulate the cleaning mode by switching just one cylinder to run on LPG at a time and quickly/repeatedly change which injector is active (you don't want to pulse one for too long because the cleaning fluid exits through only the active injector and you want to clean all injectors). The reducer cleaner stuff in aerosols foams up, expands and generates it's own pressure, I think it's more likely to clean behind the injectors plunger than 'flat' cleaner fluids like IC12, especially since most injectors are mounted with plunger shafts pointing vertically up.
Stuff like IC12 works but I'd be left wondering if the lowest injector got a lot more fluid through it than the others, and if others got a decent enough dose to be cleaned, or if I was supplied with just enough not to cause the problem of repeated stalling on trying to switch to LPG or think using it was too much of a faff (keep having to undo pipes to pour a bit in for repeated attempts).

Nice one Simon. Seems like the better option to go for. When you clean each Injector at a time do you just do it when idling?
