Prins VS1 button dead...

#1 Post by thompo »

Hi Folks,

Been searching all over the internet and ended up here :)
I have a prins VS1 system installed in a 4.7HO grand Cherokee, last year the button started to flash all 4 green lights but it still worked and i disregarded the tank indication.
Then it started to not switch over and the switch would sometimes sit with an orange light.
Finally the orange light became flickering and now its dead.

I rebuilt the reducer, replaced filters and cleaned and serviced all injectors and solenoids about 2 years ago, have only done about 3k in that time frame, 75% on LPG until it quit in October.
Still runs fine on petrol and i know i have a full tank of LPG.

Is there a procedure to bench test the switch or activate the system without the switch (to prove switch at fault)?
Supplying it with 12v produces no lights or beeps.
Or if anyone had a VS1 button kicking about id be happy to buy it.

Any component level checks that can be done to the switch? ive opened it up and nothing is visibly burnt, but its quite a complex multilayer pcb so my chances of re-creating the circuit diagram is slim to none!
It appears to me, once switched the button figures out if there is fuel and reports to ECU that in turn switches every thing on if its at the right temperature.

Thanks Neil
