Land rover discovery 2 underslung tank mounting photos

#1 Post by Bone9 »

Hi guys I've got 2 new 200mm diameter tanks to fit underslung by the sills on my discovery 2 and was wondering the best way to secure them?

Has anyone got any photos of their setup or a description of the best way to mount them?

Thanks. :D

There are various ways of attaching sill tanks. E.g. you can (or could) buy brackets that clamp around the tank and bolt onto the chassis.

The air compressor for rear airbag suspension may be in the way of fitting one of the sill tanks unless you've already addressed that...

Yes the compressor has already been moved. I do know Mick thanks but wanted to see some install photos really.

Hi Bone.

Great photos, thanks. This looks much better than dual tanks in the middle with a reduced capacity fuel tank.

I'm looking for a d2 myself and am likely to need to renew or install tanks.

No worries, glad to help. There very tight in there but it's the perfect spot. Any questions don't hesitate to ask.
