Re: lpg shortage ?
I think its Flogas and their usual trick of being caught out by high demand due to cold weather again. Calor supplied stations if you can find them seem slightly more reliable at the moment.
I've just topped up the tank at the Applegreen near Onley as its the only place working locally to me, MK has a broken pump (or may just be run out, it seems hard to get them to say, its been out over a week now) and the few other stations left locally to me are spending more time off than on currently.
Was hoping to fill at Witney on the way back tomorrow, but looks like that won't be happening as going to Gloucester.

Looks Like it, Struggling to get anything in central south England south of Fleet or Andover.
Wallisdown Borunemouth was out when i visited yesterday, Ringwood still hasn't got there pumps working after the long closure on the a31. Ower on m27 J2 apart from being a rip off use flowgas and are out, Southampton BP at sholing has been reliable and the cheapest short of going to fleet cove, but out this week too. I've not ventured towards Dorchester, Also not my local at Texaco on the a35 at Hinton could be a month away as they need there 10 year tank checks too before getting filled up.
I might have an excuse to head to fleet tomorrow and catch up with some mates.
Re: lpg shortage ?
Somebody else posted this on another forum... He said "The shortage for want of a better phrase is propane production plants are running at half’s capacity due to increased power prices so production costs. No shortage of drivers with ADR licenses, Also a good amount of empty shells just not enough propane production and filling plant staff".
I think he may have got it wrong, I've asked him where he got the info and whether he refers only to LPG in bottles (shells) or LPG in general, he hasn't replied yet.
I'm not sure how there could be a shortage of LPG without there also being a shortage of petrol/diesel (since LPG is a by product of making petrol / diesel).
I thought there was a general driver shortage, plus LPG delivery drivers might have had time off over Xmas, plus there'd be a peak in deliveries if more people order gas during the cold spell.
I thought there was a shortage of bottles (which wouldn't concern us that use LPG to fuel vehicles).

Re: lpg shortage ?
Shell Broughton in MK finally back on today.
Bottles wise, there seems to have been a problem since covid appeared, lots of places will fill a bottle you already have, but not able to sell you a new one.

Re: lpg shortage ?
That's a good news. That station was out of action since December last year wasn't it?
Re: lpg shortage ?
Yes, 3rd December waiting for repairs to the pump, Better paying 75.9 rather than my last fill at 99.9 further down the M1!
Re: lpg shortage ?
Would be nice to have the Hitchin Road one sorted as well as that's out of action quite a lot.
Re: lpg shortage ?
That seems to be delivery related rather than repairs, same with Addlestone. Both are annoying to have out of order as they are a bit of a distance to gamble with. Same with Grovebury, I can come back that way with a 15 minute detour but its pointless when its out of order (which is around 50/50 chance with them)
Re: lpg shortage ?
I think it's also fair to say more people using less stations they will run out quicker unless people give up using LPG first.
I drove past 4 stations yesterday and nothing. it's getting ridiculous.
