I've noticed quite a few areas are now running dry according to the filllpg site map. Last time when something like this happened was back in March 2018. The image comparison. The blue 'US' shows unavailable stations.

The Cromer job didn't happen in the end (got cancelled Sunday morning). I took the Diesel to London and noticed London Gateway did have gas yesterday, None at Toddington or Shell Broughton again today, but MFG did have some today.

Doesn't help there are a lot less stations now than there was in 2018 either.

You're right Brian, a lot less stations now so the situation is more significant than in 2018.

I'm not driving anywhere near as much as i used to.

About 2 weeks ago filled up at M3 south Fleet services 66.9p/l on my way back south.

Now my local which is still a good 7-8 miles away and I almost never use except in a real emergency ESSO at Hiton admeral on the A35 near christchurch even at a whopping 97.9P/l is out. The Esso Services at Ringwood have joined the ripoff club at nearly 90p/l and drive upto Ower services in protest to get LPG. but there both out too!!

but even 97.9p/l that looks cheep next to the the £1.50 super unleaded ( I find the new E10 petrol is a false economy I get the same MPG as on LPG or worse E5 actually works out cheaper than E10) I had to Chuck £30 of that in until l can get up the A34 past Winchester.

Well one bit of good news, southbound Charnock Richard welcome break looks to be getting a new pump today. Unfortunately the last lpg I managed to buy was at Woodall yesterday and most of that has now gone, been past Keele and Uttoxeter services today both are out, and the few places left on the rest of my route home are unlikely to have anything, so I'm now down to using some of the petrol that's been in the tank since the panic buying last year.

I filled up at Northmead yesterday and thought I'd drained their tank again when it stopped after 23 litres. Released the button, pressed it again and it filled to 58 litres which is about what I was expecting. So maybe the pump was trying to scare me or, quite likely, as it is the cheapest and only station in Peterborough that has any, it's getting low again.

My Goto station (Ower Services on the A36/A3090 junction ) which isn't that for from and supplied by Flogas, got a top uo since last time I visited on Monday. it looks like at least one side of the fleet services.

Signs of at least some normality but I guess this will vary between flogas depots and there customer base, but there are a @!## tonne of villages needing off grid gas out of Fawley's flowgas and they still managed to top up the service station.

Northmead was out when I tried it this morning, managed to get a splash and dash at the Spar outside Partney on the way back (at 90.9 a litre!), but filled up at Morrisons Pinchbeck. The BP at Wyboston was out as well, though thats hardly unusual. The A47 services at Peterborough also had stock

Seems this is expected to carry on for 5-6 weeks. And as said above, Calor don't seem to have as much of an issue, though suspect they are running out more quickly as so many places have run out.

Sorry Brian, looks like I might have almost drained the Northmead tank a couple of days ago. Surprised that the A47 services had supplies, their pump has been out of order waiting for parts since before Christmas. Don't complain about 90.9p, it's still almost half the prices quoted above......

True, Paid 66.9p at Woodall services on Monday though. Last time I checked the motorway services whilst filling with gas, I did see premium diesel for an eye-watering 189.9p a litre at the same time. Suspect with recent events, that it will go higher still. Probabbly now having had the pumps fixed, they are using whats been stuck in tank since they broke!

Oh dear!! At least there was LPG. Like we've been discussing, lot of places are out and started to see prices like 80p in Birmingham which is worrying.

Yes, I've seen that earlier on filllpg. Never thought it'll come to this. But even more surprising is I thought MFing MFG would do that first but these lot beat them to it.

These prices are really coming home now. That's a heck of a hike on Diesel, Petrol and on Fill LPG we are seeing the price hikes outside Birmingham prices are getting really close to or hitting the £1 mark with a few exceptions. might just be a delay in the new prices coming in and LPG prices usually lag behind petrol/diesel.

It isn't just the prices it's finding any. I was in Wisbech on Thursday and Morrisons was out so on my way home in Peterborough called at Northmead (still showing at 64.9), none, so went to Glinton (up from 89.9 to 94.9), none, A47 services (also up to 94.9), none so, in a last ditch attempt called in at Flogas even though their sign said Autogas Not Available. Spoke to Aaron, the depot manager, and he said that while Flogas themselves say the problems should be over by the end of March he reckons he should have caught up by the end of next week and will be able to open their pump again. The fact that he drives a converted Audi TT might have something to do with it too. Ran out on my way home from there which meant I had to fill up with petrol on my way to the Birmingham NEC (missus's dog was being shown at Crufts). Stopped at Corley services Northbound, none, on the way back tried Corley southbound and found none there either. Diverted off the A14 to try Morrisons at Wellingborough and they were out too. I've done the best part of 200 miles on petrol in the last couple of days and it's getting expensive.......

Are we still thinking the problem is due to home heating customers keeping gas delivery drivers busy, or is there an actual lack of LPG?

I should add - no problems local to me around the Doncaster / Wakefield areas.
