I have a mk1 Mitsubishi outlander with pharos lpg system not so long ago I changed the inline filter post vapouriser the old one had little black bits in it which made me wonder if you can flush or clean a lpg system any additives I have found say put in your dosing system but I'm pretty sure I haven't got one of those any help or ideas gratefully received.

The most likely source of black bits would be a failing reducer diaphram. The filter is doing its job if its catching them though. There are injector cleaners such as IC-12 that can be used, but this wouldn't address the source of the bits appearing in the first place.
Are you trying to fix a system that isn't running too well or just looking at routine maintaince?

Thanks for the reply, the car runs ok it's just routine maintenance really plus the mpg is pretty pants but a 2.4 awd automatic isn't going to be great where would I find the reducer diaphram

Its inside the reducer (also known as the vapouriser) Follow the gas hose back from the filter away from the injectors and you will find your reducer. You would usually get a kit of parts to replace the bits of the reducer. Assuming these are rubbery black bits of course. It may be worth clarifing that.
If theres no reason to suspect the reducer isn't working properly it may be better to leave it alone at this point, as you may find it doesn't want to come apart too easily (bolts seized in place etc).
How bad is the MPG? Does it seem noticably worse on gas over petrol (it will be somewhat worse, but how bad does it seem to be?)

My mpg is about 20 and I would say it's the same on petrol the car seems to run ok to me but it is a bit up and down.
I am a bit dubious about taking too much apart at mo as my system is pharos which I believe went bust 2 minutes after doing my car and parts maybe a problem.
PS are these flashlube systems any good

Flashlube fluid does slow down valve wear, but depends if your car needs it. Some do, others don't. Ford's and Japanese motors generally do need it. I've run a standard Ford Zetec for around 100k on gas (engine ended up at 240k at a guess) without it doing the valves in using the JLM valve saver fluid. I've no idea if your outlander needs it.
The Flashlube bottles I've generally found to be good. The JLM ones and Atiker are nothing but trouble as far as I've found.
It can be down to where your filling up as well, I've found filling a tank thats recently been driven for significent miles on gas can mean it takes less than one thats been allowed to warm back up and driven only a few miles to fill up. Time of day and ambient temperature seem to have an effect as well some of the time. As well as some filling stations not being as level as you'd expect.
