While thankfully the two Morrisons I usually patronise currently remain at 57.9 and 59.9 I have noticed many stockists have put their prices up, indeed my most local supplier who is an independent who sells bottled gas has in the last couple of months moved up incrementally from at 57 the cheapest locally up to 68.
Has the shortage led to a higher wholesale price of propane or are stockists taking advantage of less competition and putting the prices up?

The latter I suspect. In my area it ranges from 57p to 78.9, although a couple of places have slightly dropped their prices recently, one has gone from 68.9 to 64.9.
