Current LPG availability at petrol stations

Maybe, though I'd imagine very few domestic customers are using a lot at this point in the year as very few will want their heating on, so it would be the leisure (caravans) and cooking usage for the most part. Though the last time there was supply issues autogas was last in the queue so your probabbly right there.

Refilling from bottles can be rather costly depending where you get the bottles from as well as some of them work out over the £1/litre mark

Dacia are the only offering in the UK as you say, at least the only one I've seen any publicity about.

Lots of modern vehicles are not good candidates for conversion in the UK - lots of diesels where whilst you can add lpg to improve economy and emissions, is rarely done here, Direct injection petrols whilst they can be converted, there are downsides to deal with, and lots of smaller vehicles where you can't fit a big enough tank into to make it worthwhile. Combine that with the filling station network we have (where you struggle to get basic correct information from - like the recent refit at the local Shell here, where the LPG was out for 3 months with them saying it will be back on next week for weeks on end after a tank replacement) and you can see why people have drifted away from LPG.

Flogas don't seem able to pull their finger out, I thought Broughton was bad given it took 3 months to get back online!

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have any outlook for LPG availabilty? All fuel stations close to me (Hertfordshire) are showing none. It has been like this for a few weeks, at least, now.

Its been getting a bit better recently, I think Sainsburys Colney finally fixed their pump, but had then run out of anything in the tank. I'd suggest checking the websites listed further back up in the thread - www.filllpg.co.uk and http://autogas.app to see what stations appear to be available. Alternative is to try calling them to ask. Further afield appears to be fine, but most places inside the m25 seem to be out if the prices shown are upto date.

Witney now has TWO tanks installed , so it must be only a matter of months , till its switched on !

Spoke to my local Flogas and they reckon things are slowly getting back to normal. Supplies are now getting out but only at the same rate as before the breakdown so it's taking a while for them to play catch up with deliveries.

You're right, those stations mentioned did get supplies but looks like they quickly ran out. When 'price history' on www.filllpg.co.uk of those stations are checked, it shows a supply and then becomes temporarily unavailable in a day or two. Hope things get back to normal soon.

Asda at Derby when I asked (having tried to fill there to find they had run out) did say they weren't getting an indication of when their next delivery would be, though they have had one since given the price is back on filllpg. I'd suspect the pumps when they are working again will be busy as there will be a lot of people about with empty tanks.

Is the Watford Sainsburys close to you? Or London Gateway services? Both show as having lpg on autogas.app, and watford shows as being ok on filllpg?

I am pleased to say that I saw LPG being available on southbound A1 at Wyboston on Friday (I drove through to check; in my diesel car) ~72p IIRC.

I filled up today at Sainsbury's, London Colney today, ~54p.
