LPG injection on a 2l pinto?

Hi, i'm playing with my pinto powered transit again. Its a mk2 so factory electronic ignition and a carb.
I'm currently running open loop with a BLOS carb but would it be possible to fit a modern gas injection system to it? I have a lambda fitted already with a air/fuel ratio gauge to keep an eye on how its running.
I've got a turbo to strap on to it and despite the BLOS people saying it is possible to put boost through the BLOS carb i'm not convinced it will hold together, suck through would be possible as thats how it was originally set up with LPG going through the turbo but it will make the inlet tract quite long.
I've also been told that fuel consumption was even more woeful than now using this system and it was a pig to start them from cold on petrol as the fuel would drop out of suspension on the way through the turbo.
I've also got a trigger wheel and megajolt system I was hoping I could use.
Any ideas other than fitting a complete Zetec?

I remembered that and the massive improvement he got in MPG going injection - Was there ever a standalone system that came with its own ECU rather than having to go Megasquirt or one of the other diy efi type projects?

There is the Epoka kit available, Though I have no view on it having never used it.
