hana v valtek
hi which are better hana injectors or valtek rail type 30?
if they are better id like to swap them (hana) onto mine .will they swap?

Re: hana v valtek
Valtek type 30 aren't highly thought of. Might help to say what vehicle and gas ecu your using. Bear in mind some injectors have different size outlets as well.
Re: hana v valtek
mine is a 2.4 v6 audi the hana are off a 5 cyl 2.5 mondeo
Re: hana v valtek
I currently have a esgi 2 ecu but im thinking of swapping with a stag 300 which is where I got the hana injectors
Re: hana v valtek
Of course they will swap - the same car could have been converted using Hana injectors in the first place. But like Bri says the V30's may have 4mm pipe, Hana probably 6mm pipe (so you might have to also swap manifold nozzles and injector pipes), the injectors are also different shapes and sizes so Hana might need locating in a different position to V30's.
Hana are technically better than V30s but here's an analogy... The TourDeFrance winner's push bike is technically far better that a child's first bike but the winner's bike wouldn't suit a child better, their feet couldn't even reach the pedals. An otherwise OK install can be worse by fitting poorer injectors (crappy bike) or by fitting longer pipes (feet can't reach the pedals)... Out of the two situations it would be better to have a crappy bike but at least be able to reach the pedals, rather than a great bike but not be able to reach the pedals...
Stag300 only really has extra injection filtering and rpm compensation features over ESGI but most Stag installs don't have rpm compensation dialled in anyway and extra injection filtering won't be any advantage if the petrol ECU doesn't use extra injection.

Re: hana v valtek
hi
I just checked the nozzles are wider.
my car misfires doing about 70mph both on petrol and gas (worse on gas)could it be an air leak on one of the nozzles?
I have new ht leads and spark plugs

Re: hana v valtek
Could be, could also be a dodgy coil pack as well. Does it flag particular cylinders for the misfires? Vcds should be able to tell you with any luck. If so us swapping a coil pack around from another cylinder possible?
Re: hana v valtek
every time I scan it says cylinder two sometimes multiple cylinders.
i did find that the oil cap (fill point)gasket was out of position and oil would fill the channel where the ht lead clicked onto the plug.after removing plug and drying the plug it ran a lot better.
I just bought a used coil pack off flea bay will try changing them around.
my last lpg car always had a hesitation when I pulled away and a slight misfire I found one of the nozzles was loose.once I tightened it the car ran like a dream

Re: hana v valtek
That would be best idea - I've generally found if a lead or plug gets an oil dousing its knackered it, though I think your saying you've swapped them already. Is this a car with single coils per cylinder? If so swapping around the ones you know are not giving an error should help narrow down the issue.
Is there an rpm feed to the lpg ecu anywhere? If so, which cylinder does it pickup from?

Re: hana v valtek
If it's misfiring on petrol, it will misfire on gas. Sort out the petrol running first.

Re: hana v valtek
yes I was thinking a miss fire on both petrol and lpg suggests lpg is not the problem.
I changed the leads and it improved the problem with the v6 audi is the top[ cover gaskets go and oil seaps into the channels where the plugs are.
I sorted the leads and gasket now the coil needs changing.
the coil is a block of six but you can still swap them about.i ordered a used pack off ebay.
not sure about rpm feed to lpg ecu

Re: hana v valtek
The reason I asked that, is if there is a problem with that wiring, it will have a similar effect to a faulty coil pack.
Re: hana v valtek
would it still miss fire on petrol?
I will have a better look as I can remember a wire going to the coil but not sure if its on this or my previous car

Re: hana v valtek
Maybe, same applies if it's an air leak caused by a loose nozzle, the fault is still present on either fuel in both of those cases. It's likely to be less noticable on petrol though.
In the one I had the issue with, the original installer made a bad job of the solder joint, leaving a point on it. This was fine for some time but eventually managed to partially short out the coil pack connections to that coil. Equally a corroded joint could be the cause of problems though.
A wiring diagram for your current ecu would tell you what colour wire to look for, the ones I've had have been brown.

Re: hana v valtek
I just checked wiring diagram and there is a brown wire RPM .
does it go to the coil pack?
I can check it when I take top cover off when I fit the coil

Re: hana v valtek
It may not be needed, as its possible its detecting rpm by injector timings, you will have to look and see if its connected already. If it isn't, then leave it disconnected
Re: hana v valtek
Esgi2 uses a brown wire for the rpm feed and the wire will be connected (on most modern systems an rpm wire isn't necessary but is necessary with ESGI).

Re: hana v valtek
are the nozzles a straight swap?do they unscrew then I can screw in the 6mm nozzles for the hanna injectors?
Re: hana v valtek
If you can find some with the same thread size then yes, we don't know what you've got? LPG injector pipe tends to have the internal size marked on the outside of it, can you see anything that indicates its size? Or if not, pop it off an injector and measure the injector diameter would give you an answer. (I think the v30s exist in both sizes, and Simons earlier reply seems to suggest this is the case as well). Looking on Tinley tech seems to suggest most are m6 size thread regardless of the pipe size.
It may not be a straightforward swap if its been set in place with some sorts of threadlocker or sealant (very possible if its a plastic manifold, which they commonly are now). Worst case you'd need to enlarge the hole and retap it potentially.

Re: hana v valtek
This still applies though, before you start swapping injectors around, you need to locate why the issues on petrol exist.Gilbertd wrote: Mon Dec 23, 2019 6:25 pm If it's misfiring on petrol, it will misfire on gas. Sort out the petrol running first.
