Re: Injector hose size in mm?
Could I use 6mm silicone hose as a replacement?
Cheers.

Re: Injector hose size in mm?
It should be marked as compatible with LPG - I'd suspect silicone hose won't be, and may well react to it badly though others can confirm.
A quick goggle search suggests its not recommended - http://www.bryggforum.nu/download/publi ... stance.pdf
The correct stuff is £2.75 a metre from Tinley Tech - http://tinleytech.co.uk/shop/lpg-parts/ ... meter-mm=6

Thanks Brian.
I've no issues with paying extra for a better product and hence my query wondering whether silicone can be used as I'd rather not do the job ever again!
Cheers.

Is the orange lpg hose any good for this purpose?

Re: Injector hose size in mm?
Only ever seen that in 8mm, its also not really intended to live in underbonnet conditions where it gets exposed to much more heat, oils etc than the average BBQ/heater that its intended for. So not really for your use no.N_Willmott wrote:Is the orange lpg hose any good for this purpose?

Its also not suitable for exposure to liquid lpg - which won't be the case unless you have a fault with your vapouriser (if it gets too cold and freezes due to lack of coolant circulation through it then you can end up with it letting liquid past where it should go).

Thanks Brian.
I ordered the 'regular' black LPG hose anyway but just thought if there is something 'better', I'd use it. Now to sort out being sent only 2.8m instead of the 3m I ordered!
Cheers.

Gents,
Does anyone know what size spring clips I need for this type of injector hose? I need to order them so don't want to order the the wrong type?
Cheers.

They are sized by the internal diamater - this item > http://tinleytech.co.uk/shop/lpg-parts/ ... or-hose-2/ lets you pick so if the hose is correct (since you have it now it would be a good idea to try it to make sure before ordering the clips) you'd want the 6mm ones.N_Willmott wrote:Gents,

Re: Injector hose size in mm?
Well I've changed all the hoses and clips but FYI the original was 5mm not 6mm (but I just used the 6 since I had already bought it).

Re: Injector hose size in mm?
Gents,
It appears I have air leak from the lpg injector spuds in the inlet manifold. What's the best thing to seal this with? What sort of glue is normally used?
Cheers.

Re: Injector hose size in mm?
Is this between the hose and spud, or spud and manifold?
If its the latter I've used a threadlock blue product which was marked OK for use with LPG, can't remember what the exact brand used was, may depend on the manifold as to what is ok to use on it though (metal shouldn't be a problem, plastic you may need to check it won't react to it)
If its the hose you should need nothing beyond the clip if the right size hose is used.
