system needs re calibrating but garage hasn't got the s/w

#1 Post by mrLongstaff »

afternoon all

Having had a major engine rehaul done and tune up, I 've just had the LPG system serviced as it was misfiring on kickdown and stalling at lights etc.

Problem I need help with is, my LPG garage couldn't recalibrate the LPG software due to the age of the system.. I have yet to collect the car, but if its still not running right, what can I do?

details on the actuator thing is:-

OMVL DREAM XXI-G Italy - 18/05
K901716
67R-010099 - class 1.2A s/n xxxxxx566

anyone been here before?

thanks for looking.

What car is this? Edit at 13:55, reading your other threads this is on your 1985 Merc230E? Still, from your other posts can't tell if you have an OMVL Dream C or Dream N system, so the rest of my post doesn't need editing...

Can you tell us what writing is on the LPG ECU (might be a yellow sticker on your ECU)?

Since your system year is 2005 (and will have been fitted around that time) you may need to rebuild/replace injectors or reducer now (and this would make calibration necessary by default) - But calibration alone may not cure the problems.

Where in North England are you? I'm an installer in South Elmsall (between Doncaster, Pontefract, Wakefield, Barnsley). I can sort it for sure!

many thanks for the comments.

my ecu just says 'dream XXI Injection System C'

i'll try and find an earlier version of the software from somewhere.

yhe lpg system fuse. I havent seen that. I'll disconnect cables from ecu at weekend to try n find it.

i have both connectors to try. the usb from laptop connector from the ecu is 8 pin female. but as its been there for 11 years, maybe thats dirty and not connecting?

thanks again.
