Last weekend I fitted a 90L cylinder tank in the boot of my Astra to go with the 45L toroidal tank I already had. I filled it up properly for the first time today as I had nearly ran out of gas and it was fine for about 30-40L, after which there was a quite a loud noise coming from the back of the car. Loud enough to make me think something was seriously wrong anyway.
I checked on the cylinder tank as it was filling, I could feel it vibrating slightly but the valve was fully open and there was no smell of gas either so it wasn't leaking. The noise quietened down and went away as the tank filled to its capacity.
I've never heard anything like it before -- is this normal for a new tank or could it be something else? I won't get the chance to see if it happens again for a while now as it'll be a few weeks before I need to refill.
Thanks
