Converting a ford transit 2ltr holdsworth camper to LPG

#1 Post by tomandbarbaragood » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:56 pm

Anybody had any experience of this. Engine is 1989 model and has a manual choke carb is 5 speed and has only done 55,000 miles. Have been quoted £950 and registered as LPG converted. Have been told it will need single injected fixed on top of cab.

Any advice would be good,

Andy

Done pleanty of them in the past. Mixer system is the only way to go on these engine. OMVL R90 vapouriser suitable mixer and carb switch. £950 sound about right on price only a little over what I charge.
Not a bad idea to put flashlube on it.
Is the installer used to converting carb engines? There are a lot of installers about who would not have a clue how to install and setup a mixer system :!:

Oh and probably not the right section of the forum for this. Perhaps find a lpg profesional or genral discussion would be the place?

Easy conversion...shouldnt cost more than £700...flashlube not neccessary...easy to do yourself with abit of plumbing skills.
