Works out about 23-28 mpg equivalent petrol cost.

Try running on petrol only and you'll appreciate the difference.

It's going to depend a lot on how your drive it and where. In town you'll use a lot more as you will be constantly accelerating and hauling over 2 tonnes away from a standstill, on a longer run at constant speed you'll use a lot less. I've got the older P38 with a 4.0 litre engine and I can get anything from 160 to 220 miles on a tankful.

There isn't a lot of choice near you unfortunately - It can be had 15p a litre less than that elsewhere, but if all you have is garages to choose from your stuck with what you can have. Its supposed to get a bit less per mile, I am getting approx 2/3rds cost vs petrol on the same sort of mileage on a v8 Disco though try to avoid using it around town.

Just looked at filllpg and you'd need to go to Nottingham or Doncaster to get a decent price. Amazes me the variations, I'm in Peterborough and the cheapest I've got is 57p at Flogas going up to 69.9 but in St Ives it's only 55.9 at Morrisons.
